Program Overview: The purpose of this seminar is to update the learner on various aspects of dyslipidemia management. Discussion will cover pharmacologic aspects of therapy. The participant will apply the information presented to several patient cases.
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Assess a patient with a lipid disorder considering cardiovascular risk factors, concomitant conditions, and concomitant medications
- Determine appropriate lipid lowering goals for individual patients
- Discuss the pharmacologic management of lipid disorders
- Develop a pharmacological treatment and monitoring plan for patients with dyslipidemias
- Apply the information learned through the use of case studies

Program Overview: Medication errors have the potential to jeopardize your career. However, this activity presents this serious topic in a unique interactive game format. Learn and laugh at the same time!
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Identify the most frequent types of medication errors and medications involved in casualties
- Assess the potential impact of a given error on the patient, practitioner, and health care system
- Describe how continuous quality improvement can be used to prevent medication errors in various pharmacy settings
- Execute at least 2 modifications to minimize errors in practice area
