    Cystic Fibrosis (CF), while not the most common of disease states, requires a team of health care specialists to include pharmacists, all working together to meet the complex and unique health needs of the CF patient. This program will give pharmacists an understanding of the complexities involved in treating patients with CF, current and emerging therapies, and adherence challenges that can occur with the management of CF.

    Describe the etiology and epidemiology of Cystic Fibrosis (CF) to include genetics of the disease
    Outline the current and emerging pharmacotherapies therapies available for CF to include patients that may be eligible for their use
    Review symptomatic and chronic pharmacotherapy treatment options for patients with cystic fibrosis to include management of adverse effects and drug interactions
    Identify the role pharmacists can play as part of the health care team in adapting treatment plans to the patient’s life with the goal of optimizing treatment adherence in CF patients
