Program Overview
The world of immunizations is quite controversial.  There are many concerns about who should receive certain vaccines, and any side effects that are attributed to them.  This program will go over several different vaccines, and hopefully put to rest some common misconceptions associated with them.  This knowledge based program will give healthcare providers the tools needed to create a successful immunization niche.

Nurse Educational Objectives
  • Outline the Center for Disease Control’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendations for vaccination with HPV, Pneumococcal, and Shingles
  • Discuss answers for common misconceptions, concerns and controversies associated with vaccine administration
Pharmacist Educational Objectives
  • Outline the Center for Disease Control’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendations for vaccination with HPV, Pneumococcal, and Shingles
  • Outline the pharmacist’s role as an immunizer, and advocate for vaccination for HPV, Pneumococcal, and Shingles
  • Discuss answers for common misconceptions, concerns and controversies associated with vaccine administration

  • State the three types of vaccinations, and for what they are administered
  • Outline some common misconceptions associated with vaccine administration
