• Describe the bone remodeling imbalance that occurs in osteopenia and osteoporosis;
• Use existing clinical tools (eg, T score, new FRAX algorithms) to identify osteoporosis risk and to evaluate disease management options;
• Discuss concerns with bisphosphonates, the current first-line treatment options
• Differentiate mechanisms and dosing methods of new osteoporosis drug classes from standard treatments; and
• Select populations who would most benefit from treatment with new and emerging medications.
