Program Overview
After completing this program, participants will be able to describe the symptoms of restless leg syndrome and outline the factors involved in a differentials diagnosis of restless leg syndrome. Participants will know how to review non-pharmacologic and behavioral treatments for mild RLS symptoms and differentiate between treatments for secondary RLS and those for primary RLS. Next participants will be able to list first-line medications for moderate to severe symptoms and understand augmentation and rebound effects with certain medications. Lastly, participants will know to list medications that are appropriate for mild or intermittent RLS symptoms.
