Program Overview
The third presentation in a four-part series will provide information and tips for managing patients with diabetes.  Each patient with diabetes has individual characteristics that affect goals, treatment choices, and outcomes.  Practical tips and tools to achieve the greatest possible outcome for each patient will be presented.

Nurse Educational Objectives
  • Establish realistic and achievable goals for the non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic treatment of diabetes
  • Evaluate individual diabetes patient factors that affect the choice of optimal pharmacotherapy
  • Examine advanced issues in the management of patients with diabetes
Pharmacist Educational Objectives
  • Summarize current guidelines for the management of diabetes
  • Establish realistic and achievable goals for the non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic treatment of diabetes
