Program Overview
Interest in probiotics has been growing. Americans' spending on probiotic supplements tripled from the mid 1990s to today. The use of probiotics, whether from food sources or supplements, for management of various conditions will be discussed. The program will cover how these agents are thought to work, conditions for which they are effective, potential risks, and available products.
