Accreditation Services


Adding continuing education credit to a program improves the perception of quality, unbiasedness and integrity, ensuring optimal attendance. Initially a provider of continuing education for pharmacists, PharmCon Inc. has grown to provide accreditation for the following health professionals:

PHARMACIST: PharmCon Inc. is accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing education for pharmacists since 1994.

The American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) is the national agency for the accreditation of professional degree programs in pharmacy and providers of continuing pharmaceutical education.

NURSING: PharmCon Inc. is approved by the Maryland Nurses Association since 1998, which is accredited by the American Nurses Association Credentialing Center's on Accreditation (ANACCOA). PharmCon is also recognized by the California Board of Nursing as a provider of nursing programs.

Maryland Nurses Association MNA is the only state-wide, non- profit, multi-purpose professional membership organization for Registered Nurses in Maryland.

California Board of Nursing The Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) is a state governmental agency established by law to protect the public by regulating the practice of registered nurses. The BRN is responsible for implementation and enforcement of the Nursing Practice Act: the laws related to nursing education, licensure, practice, and discipline. The Nursing Practice Act created a nine-member board which serves as the BRN decision-making body.

The American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission of Accreditation (ANCCCA) The American Nurses Association established the ANA Certification Program in 1973 to provide tangible recognition of professional achievement in a defined functional or clinical area of nursing. The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) became its own corporation, a subsidiary of ANA in 1991 and since then, ANCC has certified more than 150,000 nurses throughout the U.S. and its territories in more than 30 speciality and advanced practice areas of nursing.

PHYSICIAN: Programs are fully accredited in conjunction with a provider fully accredited by the American Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide Continuing Education for physicians.

Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Collectively, the ACCME and its recognized state medical societies accredit approximately 2,500 providers of continuing medical education. ACCME accredited providers educate physicians throughout the United States. State accredited providers primarily educate physicians within their own state or surrounding states.

CASE MANAGERS: PharmCon is approved by the CCMC as a provider of continuing education for case managers.

The Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC) The Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC) is led by elected commissioners who oversee the process of case manager certification. CCMC is nationally accredited and positioned as the most active and prestigious certification organization supporting the case management industry.
