Overview
Picture it: It’s the Monday after a holiday weekend, you just started your pharmacy workday, and there are more patients at the counter than there are teammates working (along with more phones ringing than humans in the pharmacy). One of your teammate pharmacy technicians just showed up five minutes late. She’s followed by your new student pharmacist beginning her rotation experience today by showing up 15 minutes late and typing away on her smartphone. 15 minutes later, the state board of pharmacy inspector shows up for an unannounced pharmacy inspection.
Where in the world are you going to fit precepting into your day today?
Join Dr. Mark Garofoli for an engaging presentation on the pivotal concepts that make preceptors amazing educators. This course will discuss preceptor roles, expectations, learning styles, teaching styles, evaluation, and of course, feedback. Whether a “Feedback Friday” or a “Manic Monday,” everyone can fine-tune techniques for having crucial conversations. As a preceptor, you are already contributing selflessly to the future of our profession of pharmacy; this presentation will ensure that you proceed with the greatest impact possible.
