This course will review all necessary components for continuing education in Florida for HIV. It begins with epidemiology, transmission, infection control, and opportunistic infections. A review of treatment and prevention is then presented, with a focus on the newer treatment agents and recommendations. Finally, a discussion of applicable Florida law to HIV is presented with a focus on testing, confidentiality, treatment, testing of pregnant persons, and partner notifications.
This course meets the FL requirement of 1.0 board-approved contact hour on the topic of HIV/AIDS.
PharmCon is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
PharmCon, Inc. is an approved course provider for continuing education for nurses by the Florida Board of Nursing. PharmCon is also recognized by the California Board of Nursing as a provider of nursing programs.
