    • Overview

Many new medications for the pharmacologic management of Type 2 Diabetes have been approved since 2013. In particular, the new inhaled insulin is a novel insulin delivery model for which pharmacists must become familiar to adequately instruct the public on appropriate and safe use and administration. It is essential for healthcare providers to be aware of the new medications to optimize patient care and deliver evidence-based pharmacologic management of Type 2 diabetes.
