    • Overview

This webcast considers whether the commission of an error by a health professional can be classified as criminal conduct that exposes the erring health professional to incarceration upon conviction. The webcast draws a distinction between errors that are made due to ordinary inattentiveness, and errors that are made due to deliberate indifference to the welfare of others. The webcast asks at what point (if any) does a mistake that supports civil malpractice turn into willful disregard that warrants criminal charges.
