    • Overview

Pharmacists are often the first-line health care professionals that the public and other health care providers seek for information about adult and pediatric poisonings with household products. Many are not aware of the hazards associated with these common products nor the treatment of poisonings with these products. Pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and nurses should be proactive in providing information to patients to help prevent poisonings.
