    • Overview

In the United States, the influenza viruses spread roughly from October to April (peaking in January & February), according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Viruses that cause the common cold can also be prevalent at these times of year. The percentage of Americans who get the flu averages between 5-20%. Annual deaths from cold / flu complications are upwards of 35,000. Although the CDC recommends everyone older than 6 months get vaccinated, there are many natural / herbal supplements that can help to prevent or combat cold and flu symptoms.
