    • Overview

There are many vaccine preventable diseases that are still prevalent in the United States, and ways to increase immunization rates will be discussed during this program. Immunization schedules can be confusing for patients to understand so it is important for healthcare practitioners to know how to read them to convey what vaccinations patients are eligible to receive. We will discuss how to read an immunization schedule, as well as updates to both the pediatric and adult schedules. These recommendations change on a regular basis so it is important for healthcare professions to be aware of the most up-to-date recommendations, and how to then apply these recommendations to the patients that they encounter.

This course contains charts that may be hard to view on some devices due to screen size constraints. We have provided a supplemental handout download that features every chart used in this program, you are encouraged to download it before the course starts.
