      Updates to two major society guidelines (ADA, ADA/EASD) released in January 2015 are now endorsing substantial changes in overall management of type II diabetes. These statements are also now embracing recommendations from other societies regarding management of hypertension and hyperlipidemia in diabetics (and area which has been plagued with uncertainty since the release of new hypertension and hyperlipidemia guidelines in late 2013).
