    • Overview

As more medications are available without a prescription in some Spanish-speaking countries, the pharmacy may be a first stop, rather than the doctor’s office, for some Spanish-speaking patients. Due to the fact that some brand names may not be recognized, and due to the potential language barrier, there is a greater risk of the patient using the wrong OTC product for the need or misusing the correct one.
