    • Overview

      This program will provide tools and techniques that can be utilized by community pharmacists to reduce medication errors in their pharmacies. It will discuss how root cause analysis and failure mode and effects analysis can hep prevent future medication errors and improve patient safety. The program will also provide insight into how technology and electronic prescribing can cause medication errors and what community pharmacists can do to help prevent these types of errors. This session has been approved by the state of Florida as a ‘medication safety’ offering for Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians only.
