    • Overview

This program will cover pertinent legal issues involving the prescribing and  use of marijuana by patients seeking an alternative or adjunctive treatment to their current drug regimen. Additionally, it will also provide practitioners and institutions insight as to other legal ramification associated with facilitating the use of marijuana  by patients.

As the use of marijuana becomes a  more acceptable form of medicinal treatment, practitioners must understand the legal ramifications of prescribing or recommending marijuana. By reviewing the current federal and applicable Northeast state marijuana laws, this program will allow the participants to make an informed decision as to whether they wish to recommend the use of marijuana to their patients.
