Beyond the Classroom: Addressing COVID and Influenza Vaccine Hesitancy

This session is designed to equip healthcare pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with the knowledge and skills needed to address barriers to vaccination and promote effective immunization practices. Participants will explore the common challenges that limit vaccination uptake, ranging from systemic obstacles to patient-specific concerns. The course will also examine widespread myths and misconceptions about vaccines, providing clear, evidence-based responses that empower providers to counter misinformation with confidence. Finally, learners will gain insight into communication strategies, with particular emphasis on recognizing and avoiding approaches that may inadvertently increase resistance or deepen patient hesitancy.
