    The scope of this monograph is the regulatory responsibility of the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) pursuant to its authority under the federal Food, Drug Cosmetic Act (FDCA). Basic requirements of FDA regulations are summarized. Pharmacy responsibilities under the FDCA are reviewed. Legal cases related to pharmacy and compliance with FDA regulations are analyzed.
