Pharmacist
General CE: 30 Credits, Live CE: 10 Credits Due Date (M/D/Y): 10/31/2019

Pharmacists are required to submit evidence of thirty (30) hours of CPE.

A minimum of ten (10) CPE hours per renewal period shall be obtained through "live programs" that are approved as such by the ACPE or the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).

A minimum of two (2) CPE hours per renewal period shall be in the area of patient safety as applicable to the practice of pharmacy.

A minimum of two (2) CPE hours per renewal period shall be in the subject area of pharmacy law offered by the New Mexico Board of Pharmacy.

A minimum of two (2) CPE hours per renewal period shall be in the area of safe and appropriate use of opioids.

An educational program consisting of a minimum of two (2) CPE hours that addresses both patient safety as applicable to the practice of pharmacy and the safe and appropriate use of opioids will satisfy requirements of Paragraphs (2) and (4) of Subsection B of this section.

Resident pharmacists must must attend a program presented by the inspection staff or take a one hundred (100)-question examination and receive a score of 80% or better. The examination costs $100. Non-resident pharmacists may take an ACPE-accredited law course.

Pharmacy Technician
General CE: 20 Credits Due Date (M/D/Y): 12/31/2017

Pharmacy Technicians are required to complete 1 CPE hour in Pharmacy Law
