    • Overview

      This continuing education activity is designed to provide guidance and resources for clinicians counseling pregnant and lactating mothers about non-prescription over the counter (OTC) medication options. In completing this program, participants will review several OTC classes of medications including antihistamines, decongestants, expectorants, antitussives, analgesics, antipyretics, gastrointestinal agents, certain herbal medications, and a selection of topical agents that are deemed safe or unsafe for pregnant and lactating patients.
