    • Overview

      Breast cancer is malignant cell growth in the breast. If left untreated, the cancer cells may spread to other areas of the body. Breast cancer is also the most common type of cancer in women in the United States and claims over 40,000 lives each year.  This session explores basic information about this disease and various parts of the body it may affect. Specific screening methods and corresponding stages of breast cancer are also listed. Drug therapies approved for management of the disease are included as well.  This session is intended for a pharmacy technician audience.
