Breaking Bias: Tools for Cultural Sensitivity and Equitable Care in Pharmacy

This session will provide pharmacy personnel with tools to recognize and address implicit bias in healthcare settings. Participants will explore the impact of bias on patient outcomes and learn actionable strategies for fostering cultural sensitivity. The session will highlight practical ways to enhance equitable care delivery. By incorporating elements such as intersectionality and recognized health disparities faced by multiple populations, this program is intended to meet the California requirement as well as other states requiring implicit bias as a prerequisite for license renewal.
