Event Details
Antipsychotic medications range from the widely known to the very obscure, further complicated by the evolution of new drug development and the brand/generic names of these medications. This session seeks to outline the domains of psychosis and their corresponding DSM-5 diagnoses, followed by a review of the basic pharmacology of these commonly used medications, patient-related factors, and challenges in therapy. This educational session further seeks to educate pharmacy technicians on when to seek pharmacist or provider consultation to help promote the success of patients.
