American Geriatrics Society BEERS Criteria Update 2023 for Pharmacy Technicians

Medication therapy management in the geriatric population is an important aspect of medical care. The BEERS criteria was established to reduce older adult exposure to inappropriate medications and increase shared decision-making for pharmacologic treatment. In 2023, the American Geriatric Society updated the BEERS criteria to include new research and findings. This presentation will cover the new updates and the prevalence of geriatric care in the current pharmacy setting.
