The provision of care for animals has historically fallen to veterinarians, but the rapid uptake of companion pets during COVID and the advancement of pharmacologic treatment options has expanded the potential role of the community pharmacist. Pharmacists are the only human health care professional expected to care for all species of patients and often have minimal training in this area.
Join us for an interprofessional panel to hear a veterinary pharmacist and veterinarian discuss the differences in our legal and regulatory systems and opportunities to streamline communications, reduce errors, and expand services to improve care for our animal patients.
