Event Details

Almost 40 years ago HIV was at the forefront of healthcare concerns.  This virus was elucidated in 1984 and within 12 years combination drug therapy was available. Thanks to eight different mechanisms of action HIV is now a manageable disease. Although HIV patients have excellent, robust drug therapy this disease continues to spread. Community and specialty pharmacists and their technicians have a significant role in managing HIV.
