Need for Speed: Emergency Use Authorization

During the COVID pandemic, many drugs and supplies have received emergency use authorization (EUA). This session is intended to provide information about what an EUA is, why it exists, and clarify the difference between an EUA product and one that receives standard FDA approval. Many patients, the general public, and even healthcare practitioners have misconceptions about EUA products and may turn to the pharmacist for an explanation.
