Therefore, those they encounter outside of this criminal enterprise must be well-equipped to provide necessary education and support to help them escape perpetrators, regain independence, and achieve improved quality of life. This activity will provide an overview of the current status of human trafficking; offer guidance which may be implemented in real-world situations to support identification of victims and facilitate appropriate patient navigation; and outline strategies which enable pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and nurses to have a meaningful impact when interacting with suspected victims.

Class participants will also gain practical tips and techniques to reduce medication errors in daily pharmacy operations.

This course has been approved to meet the 2.0 hour requirement for medication error prevention training for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians by the Florida Board of Pharmacy.

Compounding the scenario further, all of us are generally living longer these days, and as our geriatric population is exponentially growing, we need to be armed with the most updated and comprehensive knowledge to provide the highest quality patient care possible.
