This session will review the 2019 guidelines for asymptomatic bacteriuria alongside the newly released 2025 UTI guidelines, highlighting key updates and differences that impact everyday practice. The session will focus on how these recommendations apply in community pharmacy settings and how pharmacists can use them to make more informed clinical decisions. Emphasis will be placed on practical communication strategies that help pharmacists confidently engage with prescribers to reduce unnecessary antibiotic use, while improving patient outcomes by minimizing resistance, adverse effects, and inappropriate treatment.
