Everything You Need to Know about the 2024 Florida Pharmacy Technician CE Deadline

What Is the 2024 CE deadline for Florida pharmacy technicians?

The Florida Board of Pharmacy requires all pharmacy technicians to complete a specific number of CE credit hours to maintain their licensure. For the 2022-2024 renewal cycle, pharmacy technicians must fulfill their CE requirements by December 31, 2024. This deadline ensures that all professionals remain current with the latest practices and regulations in pharmacy care.

The holiday season is quickly approaching, and so is another important date for Florida pharmacy technicians: December 31. For pharmacy technicians, this date signifies more than just the end of the year. It is also the last chance to finish the State of Florida’s continuing education requirements.

Every two years, registered pharmacy technicians in Florida need to finish 20 hours of CE, including specific mandatory topics like HIV/AIDS and medication errors. Yet, many professionals find themselves scrambling in the final weeks to meet the requirement, stressed over fitting last-minute courses into an already hectic schedule.

Want a refrigeration or HVAC technician who has already proven themselves as being reliable, detail oriented, and meticulous? Train an employee who has already proven to be those things! Technical elements can be taught; an employee with a demonstrated proficiency in prioritized softer skills is worth that investment.
